Ittai Rosenbaum

Ittai's musical journey has been a constant lookout for authentic voices within diverse styles. Starting as a jazz and classical pianist, he then paddled in blues, rock and pop, while studying and experimenting in composition. Graduate of Berklee College (BM) and the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (MM), Ittai is now a doctoral student in the music composition department at the University of California Santa Cruz. He has been teaching jazz, theory and ear training at the Tel-Aviv University and the Jerusalem Academy, as well as initiating and leading many educational programs and projects within the high school musical education in Israel.

Ittai has released four CDs: The Yellow Submarine Ensemble (jazz, 2000), Solika (jazz fantasies on Ladino songs for a 10 piece ensemble, 2008), Music From the Chamber (chamber music, 2009), Between Waters and Waters (suite for varying ensemble and a narrator, in collaboration with poet Liat Kaplan, 2009). He also directed and produced the CD Ilana Eliya (Kurdish songs, 1996).
